Hi there,
I'm Dr. Taylor Levick, DC, CSCS, and my journey into the world of movement and chiropractic began somewhat unconventionally.
Growing up, I was the quintessential clumsy kid who, despite a lack of natural athleticism and a surplus of determination, just couldn't seem to excel in sports. This challenge didn't dampen my spirit; instead, it turned me into a gym rat during my college years at the University of Florida, where I was constantly striving to enhance my movement competency and overall athleticism.
My transformation began under the mentorship of several influential figures in college who introduced me to chiropractic and massage therapy. I learned that my struggles in sports were largely due to my joints' inability to achieve the necessary positions for peak athletic performance. I was too stiff and lacked sufficient joint stability, leading to compensatory movements that hindered my athletic potential.
This revelation steered my academic path away from mechanical engineering towards exercise physiology. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I continued personal training, which I pursued through massage therapy school and later at Palmer College of Chiropractic. These experiences gave me extensive practice in coaching movement and identifying the most effective exercises, stretches, and cues to enhance athletic performance. My skills were further enhanced by the hands-on techniques I mastered in massage therapy and chiropractic schools, dramatically improving my ability to enhance movement and alleviate pain.
I am a passionate lifelong learner, constantly updating my knowledge through seminars and courses in techniques like Active Release Techniques (ART), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Functional Release Conditioning (FRC), and many others. My treatment philosophy is not just about alleviating pain quickly; it's about restoring function to prevent future injuries.
My background also includes several years as an orthopedic medical device representative, providing me with unique insights into surgical and other orthopedic treatments.
Outside of my professional life, I am committed to maintaining my own health and fitness. I regularly hit the gym and enjoy hiking the Blue Ridge with my wife, Dr. Angela, and our two beautiful daughters. This balance of personal and professional life helps me stay connected to my commitment to health, both for myself and for my patients.

See What Dr. Taylor's client's are saying about him.
After observing Taylor's workouts with clients and his personal routine, I booked sessions with him. After working out with 15 different trainers over 30 years, Taylor brought a different and effective approach to my routine. He addressed my limitations and flexibility issues with his chiropractic resources. In a short period of time, my understanding of my lack of flexibility started to improve with his thorough but easy to understand knowledge of the body. He even addressed my feet with exercises designed to strengthen and ground them which allows me to lift heavier but in a protective way. If you are looking for a way to improve your strength, stabilize your core or address lack of flexibility, you won't be disappointed with Taylor.
